I am scared that Lorena is in this season. Does anyone know if they are gonna end the season that is why they are speeding up everything. Her and Bills story isn’t till like the 4th or 5th book. And I hate that Bill is always rescuing her, she can take care of herself. If not then Eric can save her not Bill, he is never in town when she needs him in the books…. except for the witch battle and he shows up last minute. I am just starting to get disappointed if they are gonna speed things up they need to also speed Eric and Sookies relationship and finally get Bill out of the picture. Does anyone else that read the books think this?

Wasn’t that Lorena in the end?

The woman at the end of episode 5 was Bills maker.

Adi, I agree with you up and down. They are cramming everything into this season and it just kills me. I’m not very happy with their pointless alterations either. I can see how it might be nice that Lafayette was kept around and Miss Who-Cares was the corpse instead, but there could not possibly be a good reason for the alteration of Eric’s sire from Appius Livius Ocella to Godric – in fact it could have negative effects.
I hate to think they are cramming so they can cut down the number of seasons or just end right after 2.
As a book-reader and a person who supported Team Eric before I even knew there was the possibility, I do feel irritated by having to wait and wait for the shift, so I wouldn’t hate Lorena and the big Bon Temps Mission reveal coming in this season if it doesn’t cut off after.

LOL!!! A later episode summary includes “A wounded Eric plays Sookie for a sucker, to Bill’s dismay.”
Book-readers will get that witty use of wordplay! ^_^ LOVE it!
The vampire chick is Lorena. He makes it back to Bon Temps with Sook and Jason, though.
From here on, a lot of things are setting up for season 3. (personally I just want to get to 4 – Alex would/will do so excellently with 4 I’m sure!)

Hey there Adi! You just ruined it for me! Too much informantion there. I’m enjoying Bill and Sookie together.

I just finished book 9, and it ends with a question about Sookie and whether she ends up with Bill or Eric. I really like Eric – what’s not to like?!! But I’ve noticed that whenever he helps/saves Sookie, he always expects favors in return. On the other hand, except for Bill’s one indescretion which, according to the Vampire Code, he HAD to obey, he has proclaimed his love for her and stated he would die to protect her, during two different dangerous situations (wars). So he gets my vote, at least for today.

I guess you really have to notice how Sookie and Eric don’t get on to make the change more noticable. Getting a bit sick of the MaryAnn thing though. I am so over her nasaly accent.

Adi – I think Lorena may be in this season. I notice the speed up on certain storylines too. I am also eager for the Eric/Sookie relationship to evolve. Any reader of the books knows that Bill is not such a “gentleman”. The show has taken some liberties with the Bill/Sookie relationship and I think it is because the chemistry is evident with Anna and Stephen. Nonetheless, I can see Alexander and Anna displaying some dynamic scenes. I hope the writers do begin to reveal more in regards to the books. Also, I can’t wait for the inclusion of Bubba (if the producers put him in) and Alcide. I love the addition of Jason’s storyline; he is so funny in the show.

yeah sorry guys im 100% sure thats lorena. But seriously I have total faith in the writers. They may have a completely different way of tying all that together. I like to look at it this way. They are expanding on the world Charlaine Harris wrote. They have already taken liberties with Tara and Jason characters and given us some awesome new ones like Jessica and Lafayette. All in all I think its a great season and Im really looking forward to seeing what they end up doing with it.

I feel the same way Adi. The seasons is not really following the books. If so, Eric and Sookie relationship needs to speed up. The books are so good. I’m glad i read them then watch the show because they answer a lot of questions. FYI, that was Lorena at the end.

Bra- i agree with you bout the whole bubba thing and i cant wait to see who they put in as alcide!! i just cant wait till the whole eric and sookie relationship starts because im a deffinitly a team eric type of person but theve made eric out to be a crazy bloodthirsty person EX: the whole ripping that guys leg off his body i mean i think eric would do that but ppl who havent read the books will think he is just crazy. does anybody agree?

Damn I sure am glad to see they are finally starting to get somewhere. This last episode was the best of this season so far. So many places for them to go after the kidnapping of Sookie. I am wondering if the vampchic from Dallas is part of the setup cuz her dude didn’t seem to interested when Sookie hinted that she was ready to leave the church. Did anyone notice that the preacher knew she was a telepath?? All very interesting.
Posted by: Adi - 07/31/2009
Ruerue I agree with you Eric is capable of that but ppl that dont read the books probably think Eric is crazy and dosent have a heart. I just really hope they make him “sweeter” like in the books and show how much he actually cares for Sookie.

I kinda like this show, but I honestly think they should drop the phony southern accents.
I’m from Southern Mississippi and people in Louisiana do NOT sound like that. Granted most people have accents, usually they’re not that thick and it doesn’t sound forced

Just noticed that Maryann is reading the book “Heart Sick” when Tara comes home from that hectic work day.
That was one sick and twisted little F’d up book, no wonder she’d be the one to read it hahaha

Adella, I’m Swedish so honestly I can’t really hear that much of a difference in southern accents, but I completely understand you. Amongst the Swedish vikings Eric and one of his companions speak really good swedish (I know Alexander is Swedish but I’m not sure about the others) but the other guy and Godric speak really weird. Sometimes I have too look at the english translations to understand what they’re saying, and don’t get me started on that chic that hangs around Eric in Fangtasia. I had to play a scene 6 times in season 1 to understand. Annoying.
I haven’t read the books yet, but I will!
