the show is great and i’ve read some of the books. and i know that when hollywood gets a hold of something they mess with it alot so i know they are going to fallow the books to the letter but they are doing a pretty good job so far. now all the need to do is make an anita blake show and my wish for vampire books turn show will have come ture!

well the series is only inspired by the books so it will go of the trail a lot and did u notice a couple of eps ago when marianne vibrated and sam turned into a dog. i think she hunts shape-shifters and then turns them into their animals like in the other ep when that pig was looking at marianne and marianne was vibrating like she was keeping him that way. or maybe she is a shapeshifter and something else put together?! :S

This episode was by far the best. There doing there best job to follow the books with some extra stuff that just makes True Blood my favortie show. The whole Jessica Hamby character is awesome, I love the fact that she is interested in Hoyt. I hate Maryann though, she’s deffinetley the maenad but it’s kind of a boring name compared to Calisto. Hope the best for this show. =)

I’ve only started watching 2 weeks ago, but I caught up thx to this site.

I think Daphne may be a minion sort of thing from Mary-Anne… it’s like her spells turn them into animals or something…

FYI – In the books – its not maryanne who hurts sookie. Its something else.

I wish it would stay a little closer to the books tho. but the show is good!

Above tells you that Maryann is a maenad. I’m guessing this new bar girl is another shapeshifter or were’animal’ and was also attacked by Maryann. Barry is another telepathic that Sookie decides to help, and he also proves helpful (in the books, but not sure if it will happen in the show).
I agree with the storylines, way too much on Tara and Maryann. It’s making the whole thing drag on a bit, I mean, it’s ep 4 and Sookie has only just made it to Dallas.

I’m loving this series!! I really want to know what is Maryann. Does anyone knowwhat she is? They are spending alot of time with her and no answers, that is pissing me off. Barry is a male Sookie, so the plot thickens. I think that Eric is going to end up turning Lafayette. That would be awesome. Lafayette has to stay around i love his character.

Thanks for posting these episodes!! We don’t get HBO, so I was out of luck till I found your web site. I love the show, even though it just barely follows the books. I mean Lafayette dies in the beginning of book 2!! Maryann is a maenad, and attacks Sookie to send a message to Eric to pay up or suffer! Sam is good friends with Maryann, no jessica etc. Oh well, I still can’t wait to watch each new episode!!
