I just found out about this series (no cable for several years now) and I love it. I am getting the books next week on my kindle and I honestly think that I will hurt anyone who interupts when I am reading these.

I LOVE this show! There was an interview with the guy that plays Eric, and the interviewer was all: “What do you think about the Twilight vamps?” and Eric was all: “Yeah, they’re cute. They’re adorable.” I was cracking up! Lol. I love Twilight too, but I kinda like True Blood better.

Tara’s not made up – she is a character in the books, she just doesn’t have much of a role until later books, and they changed her story a little bit. She never works at Merlotte’s, but she has a clothing store and was friends with Sookie in high school.

I’m in book 3, and they’re great–I actually just started watching the show yesterday since I’d already read the first book, and so far it’s pretty good…but Bonnie, you probably should have put up a *Spoiler Alert* at the beginning of your post for those people that haven’t read the books and didn’t want to find out about Lafayette until it happened in the show…you probably just upset a bunch of people :-/
