I don't even know what to say. I'm not liking the massive deviations I'm seeing. Lord knows I'm still awaiting the premiere with bated breath - counting the days. But, I didn't even realize until now how dramatically different the path they're traveling with the tv series is. I watched the first season, then my parents got me the book collection in March and I've read all the ones released thusfar. I just don't know if the tv series will ever fall more into line with the books, but I'm gonna say 'no' mostly because the tv series is giving other characters focus, while the books are all focused on Sookie. I mean, True Blood is to the Sookie Stackhouse Series as Wicked is to The Wizard of Oz. They have created full stories for characters no one cares that much for in the books. Later affiliations with the werepanthers seem like they won't get worked in, heck I'm not even sure they'll stick with the romantic shift - a huge turning point in my opinion - or proper death patterns.
