Alan Ball Reveals Spoilers For Season 2 of True Blood
Alan Ball said as quoted by James Hibberd of The Live Feed, “Jason goes into the Fellowship of the Sun church in a big way and is surprised by what he finds there. There’s a new creature in town that is unlike any other. Nobody knows what this creature is, I’m not sure if it will be entirely explained in the show – it’s not a werewolf.”
He continued, “There are new romances for Tara, Jason and Sara. Bill and Sookie have a lot of issues to sort out – including having made a new teenage vampire that’s living in their house. Bill and Sookie also go to Dallas to find one of their own who has gone missing.”
The new season of “True Blood” is scheduled to air in May next year.

This series is amazing! I had no idea that it was a book series but when I found out, I ended up buying the whole set. I really hope that “Eric” becomes a more central character in the upcoming season as he remains important (even more so than Bill) in the book. Sookie and Eric have a very complex and extremely entertaining relationship. Can’t wait to see it on the small screen!

As much as I love Bill I think it would put a great twist on thing if Sookie and Eric hooked up!! Can’t wait til May!!!

I agree with Nikki. Can’t wait for season 2….Season 1 followed extremely well to the novel, I hope that season 2 continues this way. And yes, MORE ERIC!

This has got to be the most confusing, complex, yet amazing series to air since Lost. If it were to be shown on public television I believe that more people would pick up on it. Not only does it make you believe that Vampires exist once again, it creates an environment where people are scared, mad, prejudice, and confused at vampire lifestyle. I also like how there is a whole court system/legal action kinda thing going on here. I don’t think the author of this book could make the series any better than it already is. I watched the first episode 3 days ago(I didn’t even know what True Blood was until then) and I just finished. Addicted. It actually made me feel as though Bill and the other vampires were charming me into watching this show. Can’t wait til May. And to all you other fans, rock on! Let’s keep this show alive. P.S. My favourite part of the series was when Sookie was talking with Rene’s wife about Fangtasia and Rene’s wife says “Well the only ones there are freaks… and people from Arkansas.” I laughed my ass off, as I’m from Arkansas, and super close to Shreveport. Anyway, I’m off
have a good day

I love the True Blood series …Have read all the books and I love the different touches Mr. Ball is making. It will help to have his talent when they shoot the nine book because its half done and a real stinker. True waste of a hardback..should have waited for the paper version. “sigh”

I really want Sookie and Erica to end up together!!! He is sooo cool. I can’t wait for May it’s taking WAY too long. I would be able to handle this better if book 9 were coming out sooner.

It’s going to be interesting to see the interaction between Sookie and Jessica. Imagine Bill explaining to Sookie that she’s his new baby vamp. I’m looking forward to seeing them go to Dallas and of course learn the fate of Lafayette Season 2

I really enjoyed the first season, when I found out about the book, I read them all. Loved them…
I did enjoy some of the changes in film ,I wonder what role the new teenage vampire will play. I hope you will follow through to the last book..
Can’t wait for season 2 and the next book

who is the character sara??
“He continued, “There are new romances for Tara, Jason and Sara.”

I totally disagree with Amanda. I think book 8 is a great segue into bigger and better things. While I do hope that Alan Ball continues on with his outstanding work, I also hope he stays true to the stories provided by the Brilliant Charlaine Harris!

I am a huge fan of True Blood. I love the books, but the show really makes you understand the obsession and passion with the fantasy world. Mr.Ball is incredible at making this series come to life. I just hope he makes more changes from the book, it is torture how Charlaine Harris breaks up Sookie and Bill so soon and just has him lingering in the background of every book making u hope that they will reunite there passionate romance. I have read on another site that the air date for season 2 has been confirmed to still start in mid June, that sucks! I have already preordered season 1 but that is so long away and the new book isn’t coming out til May. If anyone has read all the books knows that there are bits and pieces missing that doesn’t make since, so I looked it up and found out that Charlaine Harris has also put some short stories of Sookie in other books that explains the missing areas in the others so I have read all these as well, I just can’t get enough!

We have just started series one of Trueblood…
So far, this is one of television’s greatest series… Up there with Firefly. I’m only hoping that unlike Firefly this series continues on to bigger and better things.
Love from New Zealand <3

I absolutly am addicted to TRUE BLOOD, after the first season I bought all the books and read all 7 in one week, I love Lafayette and hope Ball changes his book outcome. I think the charisma between Sookie and Bill is awesome, and hope to see a lot more of that (unlike the books.) Eric is great, but My vote is for Bill. I did fall in love with Quinn, but Harrison whisked him away before we even got to see much of him, I heard vin Deiesel has been signed to play Quinn, and although I like him, I cant see that( he and Sookie) at all.All in All one of the best series Ive ever seen up there with Brideshead, and Rome. I wish they would not have such long months between seasons, im going nuts waiting for more Sookie and Bill. I was glad Anna won the Golden Globe, but I think Bill should have won one too. I am happy to see they have “moved in with each other in real life too! LOVE< LOVE THIS SHOW CANT GET ENOUGHT!!PLEASE DONT KILL LAFAYETTE HES SO INTERTAINING !ANd the signature song by Jace, absolutly awesome !

I kinda hate the ending of the books. Bill and Sookie dont work out. Eric went out with Sookie etc. However, I hope that the 9th and 10th books will change things up XD

I started reading the books when they first came out. She also writes three other series that are awesome.
The Harper Conelly series is the other paranormal series about a woman who communicates with the dead while solving paranormal crimes but not as strong in the relationship dept. Aurora Teagarden and Lily Bard books are mysteries that take place in the south. Lily Bard’s based in Shakespeare, AS. and Aurora’s mysteries are in Lawrenceton, LA. The Lily Bard books are of the same caliber as the Southern Vampire series. And the Lily actually visits Bon Temps in one of the Southern Vamp Sookie stories Lily aslo has a relationship with issues that is a strong theme in her stories.
I appreciate that Ball is sticking with Harris’s characters and storyline as close as he has. Basically Tara being black, related to Lafayette and the V addiction as a major theme are the only changes. Well and maybe that Jason’s character is all over the place. He’s a whore in the books and that is his biggest problem not V. I am really looking forward to season 2 and what direction Ball will take with Dead In Dallas.
Just wanted to make some reading recommendations for those of you who enjoyed Harris’s Sookie Stackhouse, Southern Vamp series. You’d probably love Kelley Armstong’s Women of the Otherworld series that starts with the fist book Bitten, followed by Stolen, etc. All her books in this series deal with a paranormal world featuring werewolves, vamps, demons, witches, sorcerers, etc with Sex, murder, crime and relationships as the main theme. All very well written and one can only hope some smart guy like Ball reads and decides to make films of them.
Also another interesting series is written by an author Patricia Briggs that features a female shapeshifter Mercy Thompson as the female heroine and has vamps, weres, fae existing in the non-fictional setting of Kennewick, WA located in the Eastern WA state Columbia river basin. I read Book one Blood Bound, in one evening and had to wait months for the next book Moon Called. Also has relationships and crime as the main theme and after book 3 an offshoot series about a Montana based werewolf pack with ties to Mercy in a 6th degree sense. Same excellent writing as Harris, these authors excel at writing about paranormal relationships with the mortal world as well as the crime perpetuated by and against each other. Just like with Sookie’s Dead After Dark, I was hooked after the first book. I actually have more recs for reading but these are some of the best and are written for adults not YA like Steph Meyer’s series which I also enjoyed.

I love this series!! Unfortunately I couldn’t make it past book 1 in the book series. After reading book one i made the mistake of reading ahead. Bill is my fav and I can not even bring myself to read about him cheating on and raping Sookie. It is disgusting. I really hope that doesn’t appear in the T.V. series. Great show!!! Keep up the great work!!!
